My Immortal Community Annotation Project (MICAP)

The My Immortal Community Annotation Project is basically what it says on the tin—a Google doc project you can edit to contribute annotations to the text of My Immortal to note various references, parallels and oddities that might be of interest to others.

I introduced it on Reddit a few months back after my abortive attempts at annotating on this site stalled due to IRL obligations and generally having retired from active research into Tara Gilesbie and MI.

Many people have already contributed a lot to the text, and I'm I'm hopeful this will be one way to convey the accumulated information people have gathered over the years and make some of the aspects of the text you might gloss over due to lost context ("quiephs" being a reference to a specific other fanfiction, e.g.) more apparent to first time readers approaching what I'd describe as a really interesting period piece that's quite a bit more complex than the simple troll job / hilariously relatable if extreme mall goth teen angst many readers first get acquainted with it as.
